2020.04.22 Ramadan mubarak!

Traditionally, the Muslim Association of Hawaii (MAH) sends out teams to various locations around the island to sight the moon prior to making a declaration regarding the start of Ramadan. But due to the Coronavirus stay-at-home order, calculations were used to determine the start date.

InshaAllah, the first day of Ramadan will be Friday, April 24th, 2020.

One of the pleasures of Ramadan is coming together in the evenings for prayer and the breaking of the fast. So although there will be no congregational prayers and the mosque will remain closed, we will be holding virtual Zoom meetings to help keep the atmosphere of Ramadan alive. If you would like to join these virtual Zoom meetings, please send us an email at hawaiimosque@gmail.com.
