I'm a party-of-one-muslimah today, I'm at the library and couldn't make it to the Mosque to hear the call to prayer. So I used an option on the Azan Software I downloaded from here to listen to it. But it seemed kind of weird because I wasn't really sure about it. So I turned it off, and commenced directly to prayer. Was this correct behavior?

I'm a recent convert and can't help but take everything really seriously as there is much for me to learn insha'allah.

Thanks in advance and mahalo!
