Ceasefire presents opportunity for much-needed emergency assistance

Three weeks has left Gaza in a state of complete devastation. More than 1,300 people are presumed dead and over 5,000 injured.

When the ceasefire came into affect last weekend, aid-workers for the first time in weeks were able to glimpse into the magnitude of the devastation.
Tens of thousands of Palestinians have been left homeless and 400,000 people still have no running water. Sewage is flowing in the streets and there exists an urgent need for medical and food aid.
The ceasefire has opened windows of opportunity to help the suffering people of Gaza. Now is the time to extend our support and ease the pain of all those in need. Some of the urgent needs include:
- Medical equipment and supplies
- Food
- Clean water
- Fuel
- Blankets, hygiene kits and other non-food items
