Gaza, what can we do here in Hawai'i?
International aid agencies have confirmed that the situation in Gaza is now
a full-blown humanitarian crisis to say the least. Mosques, Schools,
hospitals, homes and markets have all been targeted by the Israeli Military
(Terrorists in Uniforms). Food, medicines, water and electricity are all in
short supply according to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for
Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). Over 1150 Palestinians 40% children have been
killed by the Israeli Bombs and the number of injured stands at over 5000
with children accounting for more than 35 percent.
Our Prophet pbuh said (meaning): "That Allah in the assistance of His
servant while the servant assisting his brothers and sisters". Also, he pbuh
said (meaning) "Who ever seen an oppressed and can help but did not will not
smell the fragrance of Jannah"

4-Visit CAIR and sign the Petition at: http://petition.cair.com.
5-Give your ideas directly to our New President at http://Change.gov It lets you bring your ideas directly to the President. It's called the Citizen's Briefing Book, and it's an online forum where you can share your ideas, and rate or offer comments on the ideas of others. The best-rated ones will rise to the top, and after the Inauguration, they'll print them out and gather them into a binder like the ones the President receives every day from experts and advisors. If you participate, your idea could be included in the Citizen's Briefing Book to be delivered to President Obama. Visit the Citizen's Briefing Book now and share your ideas: http://citizensbriefingbook.change.gov/Foreign Policy.
6-Participate in the "Stop the Massacre in Gaza!" March in the MLK Day Parade on Monday! Gather at 8:30am at Magic Island [look for the blue earth flags]. Parade begins at 9am! World Can't Wait, along with The Muslim Association of Hawaii and Friends of Sabeel, will all be joining up to protest the U.S.-backed massacre in Gaza in the MLK Day Parade on Monday. The parade will begin at Magic Island in Ala Moana Park and will walk down Kalakaua Avenue to Kapiolani Park.
7-Call our elected officials in Washington. They are keeping a tally of the calls they are receiving about this. Tell them the U.S. needs a new Middle East policy, which holds Israel accountable to international law and UN resolutions and human rights. Tell them the U.S. should not support Israel with billions of dollars every year and should not be arming Israel with U.S. made weapons that are often used to massacre innocent civilians.
a. Call the Obama/Biden Transition at (202) 540-3000,
press 2 to speak to staff member. Tell them Obama needs
to break his silence and condemn Israel's killing and
imprisonment of civilians as he condemned the
Mumbai attacks. Add your own suggestions.
b. Call Neil Abercrombie (Hawaii) http://www.house.gov/abercrombie/
Ph# (808) 541-2570 or (202) 225-2726. Make sure that you thank him for voting NO to the resolution supporting Israel as he was one of only
five to do so.
