Eid Al-Adha

Assalamu 'Alaikum dear brothers and sisters,

I pray that you and your family are in the best of health and strongest Iman and that Allah (swt) makes these remaining few days of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah filled with mercy and forgiveness and to accept our fast, prayers and charity.
 
Eid Aldha will inshaAllah be celebrated on Monday the 10th of Dhul Hijah (December 8, 2008).

For Muslims who are not performing Hajj, it is highly recommended to fast on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah (Sunday December 7, 2008).
The prophet (pbuh) was asked about fasting on the day (of Arafah), and he replied, "It wipes off the sins of the last year and this year" (Recorded by Imam Muslim)

The Eid festivities will Insha'Allah take place at the Manoa Park (directions).

The Eid program is as follows:

08:00AM    Eid Takbirat
09:00AM    Eid prayer & Khutba by our Imam Dr. Ismail Elshikh
09:45AM    Breakfast
10:30AM    Eid festivities to include Inflatable Jumps for kids, games, contests etc….
12:30PM    Dhuhr Prayer
01:00PM    Lunch
02:00PM    Resume Eid festivities
04:00PM    Asr prayer
04:30PM    End of Eid activities

It is very important that our kids participate and enjoy one of only two Eids for Muslims, hence please make sure that you inform your kid's school that they will miss one school day. If the school or your employer requires a letter from a religious institution, then please let us know and we will provide you with one.
