South Asia Quake Shakes Local Community

The Muslim Association of Hawaii today called on all of the Muslims in Hawaii and other people of conscience to help the victims of the massive earthquake in South Asia.

The Muslim Association of Hawaii has setup a donation site at http://www.iio.org to accept donations to be turned over to relief organization on behalf of the people of Hawaii.
Relief organizations associated with the Muslim Hurricane Relief Task Force ( www.mhrtf.net ) are offering aid to areas of Pakistan, Afghanistan and India devastated by the 7.6-magnitude earthquake that left at least 30,000 people dead.

The Association of Pakistani Physicians of North America (APPNA) has also established the "APPNA Earthquake Relief Fund 2005." Checks may be sent to: APPNA Earthquake Relief Fund 2005, 6414 S. Hakim Ouansafi of The Muslim Association of Hawaii urged the people of Hawai'i of all faiths to pray for those killed, injured or left homeless by the earthquake.
